Part 2: Breaking Limiting Beliefs

Your Heart Beliefs Drive Your Life
You can tell what’s in a person’s heart by looking at how they live. That’s because Your life will always reflect the beliefs you carry in your heart. Some people unconsciously live by thoughts like:
“I’m too old to be successful.”
“I never catch a break.”
“Wealth is for other people, not me.”
And that’s just how they live, broke and disgusted. You must become unstuck in what you think in your subconscious or in your heart because “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. – Proverbs 23:7.
You see, these hidden beliefs are what quietly shape your reality, keeping you stuck in cycles of lack and frustration where financial freedom is out of reach. But the truth is this: when your heart and mind are aligned with God’s Word, financial freedom and abundance finally become attainable.
Last week we explored how renewing your mind changes your heart. This matters because that’s where faith lives – in the heart. So, it’s not just what you say, but what you truly believe. And we all believe in something. Your faith either rest in lack, just enough, or in God’s abundance – take your pick.

Replace Limiting Beliefs with Truth
Exchange negative, self-sabotaging thoughts with scriptural truths about who you’re supposed to be. Start with self-talk that employs “I am” statements like
“I am blessed and highly favored.” When you make an “I am” statement, you are shifting you mindset and telling your identity to align itself to the statement. You are speaking what does not yet exist, into existence.
So instead of thinking or saying I am broke, say I am walking in the power to create wealth. This coincides with scripture that says, “But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”– Deuteronomy 8:18
Do this each morning until you believe it, because just saying it doesn't make it happen. Don’t get discouraged when you don’t see immediate change and doubt starts creeping in. Remember, you're undoing years of wrong belief. The transformation is first inward before showing up outwardly and will take time. Faith is not based on what we see, it is however the evidence of what will be but is not seen… yet.
Why It Matters
Faith functions like currency in the marketplace of life because what you believe and act on determines the opportunities you can access and the growth you'll experience. When you replace lies with truth, your confidence grows, fear and guilt fade, and suddenly you’re free to pursue opportunities, invest wisely, and build wealth that honors God. This is faith in action: trusting the unseen until it becomes visible.

Practical Takeaway:
· Journal Prompt: What beliefs did I inherit about money from family, culture, or church?
· Rewrite Exercise: Replace each one with truth
. Example: “Money is evil.” → “The love of money is the root of all evil, but wealth is a tool for good.” (1 Timothy 6:10)
Recite the truth daily until you create a new belief system.
